I have a 66 Buick Skylark and I have no idea where the trunk light should be, I have a yellow wire lead in the trunk (I assume for the light) but where should I place it?
You could buy a clip on light socket and clip it to trunk inner lid or wheelwell brace.I have a 66 Buick Skylark and I have no idea where the trunk light should be, I have a yellow wire lead in the trunk (I assume for the light) but where should I place it?
You mean TRUNK light. I answered your question on BuickForums.com. This is a photo of a 64 trunk light. The 66 will be similar.

Look for a screw hole to indicate where the light attached. If there was one there originally, there will be an empty hole where the bolt threaded through the light socket bracket.
Thank God its a big trunk...now who to trust is a interesting question the first person off the list might be the wifeIt's a positional switch integral with the socket. It automatically goes out when you close the trunk. You may need to test it. Crawl in the trunk and have somebody you trust close the lid on you.
