I have done the reverse swap many years ago. You will need the 66 GS exhaust manifolds, or headers to clear the frame, also you will need to change the oil pan and pickup from a GS to clear the front cross member. Also the drive shaft will have to be changed, as the wildcat tranny has a longer...

Carter carb Have you checked the CHOKE? That may be the problem. If the choke is stuck OPEN, you will get a very lean condition. To much air not enough fuel. Can you smell raw gas? If so you may be flooding by pumping to much fuel in. Check the choke first. hope this helps Al
