Pertronix also needs 12v, original wire to distributor has resistance that reduces the voltage.
I learned the hard way! I hooked up that and the fuel pump to that wire and it ran poorly. 1999 I needed a lesson.
The Odd Fire was designed like the 300 V8 without 2 cylinders - the flat spots on the lobe are where those missing cylinder's lobes would have been. Getting the timing right would be really hard if not clocked correctly.
Of all the swaps this one is one of the easier ones.
I did this on a 65 Skylark IIRC the pulleys and brackets from the 300 will bolt straight on,
wire harness will also work.
I will try to check my pulleys - I should have one- and I cannot think why it would differ from the 65. I've got a couple 66 engines in 65 model cars. Here is one that came to me with a 425 Q-Jet engine :)
I am using the 225-70 15's on my 68 LeSabre.
For Bias ply i have used J 78 15's.
I like these:Vercelli Classic 787 P225/75R15 102S WSW (4 Tires) | eBay
I'm going to try this from Rubber the Right Way on my Electra.

Not perfect but the closest I could find.
