    1952 Roadmaster 76R value

Been a LONG time since I posted on this forum. I have a 1952 Roadmaster 76R that I'm going to be putting on the market due to a divorce...what are these things going for nowadays? See photos for condition. It doesn't have the power steering option for that year but of course has the 4-bbl...

    Buick boneyard in Massachusetts?

A couple of years ago I recall using an old Buick boneyard in Massachusetts (maybe in Lowell?) but for the life of me I cannot recall it's name. Does anybody know? For sure a learned about it on this site but that was probably 2009-ish. Seems like these boneyards are closing one by one these...

    1952 antenna insulator source?

Does anybody know of a source for the insulator and terminal used for the early 50's antenna? I went to put a new mast in my antenna base today only to find that about 50% of the antenna is missing (including the spring, which explains why mine was broken). The clear tubing for the antenna...

    Nylon Pattern Cloth?

Second part to this question is, what would be red and what would be beige? The car has a "25" paint code, which is Carlsbad Black on the roof and Apache Red on the body. This is how it looks today. The upper dash and painted trim (it's a 76R) is Maroon Metallic, with Metallic Beige on the...

    Nylon Pattern Cloth?

I have a question about a trim option...I was researching my data tag's info and noticed 83 as the trim option, which is apparently "Light Beige Nylon Pattern Cloth with Red Leather Bolster". Does anybody have a photo of this type of upholstery material?

    Wacky signal flasher 6V

Having a strange issue with my '52 directionals...the directionals, be it right or left, will work correctly for a 2-3 seconds. The front/rear lights flash, the direction arrow in the dash will flash, with an audible clicking. Maybe 4 or 5 times, tops. Then the dash directional arrow will...

    Best oil for Hydro-Lectric system?

Thanks for the replies...I had figured the cold weather (well below freezing since I've owned the car) might be a factor, although the window closest to the pump operates at a reasonable speed. But yeah I plan on waiting until it gets a little warmer in the garage before diagnosing the problem...

    Best oil for Hydro-Lectric system?

I am working on a '52 Roadmaster hardtop with the Hydro-Lectric system for the windows and bench seat. The 2 rear windows and driver's side window are really sluggish, although the temp in my garage is also below freezing and I don't know how much of an impact that has on hydraulic operation...

    1952 Buick door button issue

Got a 1952 Roadmaster 76R with a few minor issues...the doors are very straight, but both doors require quite a bit of pressure on the door handle button before they unlatch. The passenger side isn't so bad, but the driver side door handle button needs to be in 100% before it unlatches. The...

    '51 Engine Paint Colors

Yeah I did man, thanks for being a stand-up guy. Only problem is...it's about an inch too long. So I guess maybe the air cleaner for the smaller engines was a little different than the 320 as far as the filter hat might have been a bit taller? But again thanks for the deal anyhow. What color...

    '51 Engine Paint Colors

Glad my memory still works sometimes...is the blue on the oil filter housing a Chevy engine blue? Doesn't match what was left of the original Buick turquoise at all. Kinda off-topic but if anybody has an extra rod/wingnut used to hold the upper air cleaner to the oil bath please PM me.

    '51 Engine Paint Colors

Anybody know what the correct paint scheme was for the '51 engines? Obviously turquoise for the block...but I seem to remember that the rule was for these engines that if a part used a gasket, it was the same color as the block. I.e. the pushrod/valve/timing chain cover, thermostat housing etc...

6V Delco-Remy Generator front bearing removal

Can somebody give me a quick answer as to what kind of tool to use to get the front generator bearing out of it's socket? The socket is covered by a triangular plate with 3 screws but there ain't even close to enough room to get a screwdriver in there. Edit: I pretty much figured it out...

    1951 Roadmaster signal gremlins (video)

Got a vicious directional gremlin goofing up my right turn signal...here's the deal: The park lights work, but a little brighter on the right side. Left directional--no complaints. Right directional--the dash indicator will flash only once, with one click from the flasher...then, nothing...

    Source for moulding clips

Need about a half-dozen of these 1 1/2"x7/8" moulding clips for a '52 sweepspear, the part right above the rockers on the rear door of a 72R. Anybody know where to get these or have a good connection for trim clips? I don't really want to use the all-purpose wire-spring type if I can help it.

    Headliner install

It's headliner time again...last time I installed one, I had the front windshield out. What is the best way to affix the front and rear without having to remove the windshield? I don't want to have to take it out if I can help it, that rubber seal is costly. Car is a '51, by the way.

    1953 dash in a 1951?

Anybody know if a 1953 Super/Roadmaster dash will fit a 1950-52 Super or Roadmaster? I know the body for these model cars stayed pretty much the same from 50-52 and in 1954 it was redesigned from the frame up but what about 1953? From what I understand the 1953 Roadmasters were just Supers...

    Rules of "Punchbuggy"

Wondering if anybody else here knows the official rules for the driving game "Punchbuggy". My daughter and I have argued several key point regarding this game. Here are the rules as I remember them: 1. The person spotting the Punchbuggy yells "Punchbuggy" and strikes the nearest occupant of...

    Plastic horn button restoration

I have a 1952 horn button with the "Power Steering" lettering that has zero flaking or crazing BUT has a couple of very slight scratches and one deep one on the face. Anybody have any experience (positive or negative) with any of these emblem restoration companies on the net? It's kind of a...
