    The numbers on the block of my engine are (RP 4I8 ) can anyone tell me what that means, because I was told its a 1970 buick 350 with 8.5:1 cr but the charts say 1969 buick 350-4 with 10.25:1 cr.

    I was looking on the engine I. D. chart and it shows Buick 350 from 1967-1969 with distributor in front and from 1970 - the distributor is in the back . Is the chart correct becase my 350 is is in the front and it is a 1972 350 engine.
