I am new to Buick [mainly a mopar and ford with a bit of olds person ] so not familiar with model comparisons. i am trying to find out what the similarities are between 61 cars, le sabre Electra etc. There does not seem to be much info on the invicta for modifications and whether they are comparable to the 61 impala for parts ant info appreciated

The Invicta is an upgraded LeSabre. The Electra is a longer wheelbase, longer car. There is almost nothing short of the roof, glass and window regulators that interchange with an Impala.

I have had special sway bars made for the '61's front & rear along with other needed parts.
Some are an upgrade over stock.

Tom can you elaborate on the sway bars you made work, an Addco bar,etc? On 63 special, there are three sway bar diameters: stock(13/16"), wagon(7/8"), and (15/16")police car. I'm browsing the corvette forums for a front sway bar 15/16" OD, but most of the ones made have seized production.

These that I have/have made are NOT for the smaller Special series, ONLY for the full size cars.

I can do research to see what may be available for the smaller series Special cars IF needed.
