I live in Illinois and am looking for a 62 wagon running, with all three seats, I also need the body in decent condition. Anyone could help me out that would be great. I could easily get a van, but unfortunately I experience vertigo. And, I just love that 62 wagon my Dad keeps telling me about that they had.

Re: Buick Estate Wagon

:wavey: Hi Fiestagurl

I see that You are a NEW MEMBER  WELCOME ABOARD! :beers:

Trying to find an Estate Wagon is a Tall Order to begin with, let alone limiting yourself to a particular model year. The Third Seat Option my also be another stumbling block.

To begin with there were not many Wagons made and most were heavily used and pretty much has had their rear end ridden off and into the ground. They were not looked upon as collectable vehicles but used for a particular purpose or work and with low production numbers there are not many Survivors

I would have and open mind and broaden your horizons. I wouldn't limit your search to the 62 model year alone. Any Buick Estate Wagon of that Era, will suit your purpose! Finding a Wagon will be quite a challange, let alone a '62. They really didn't change too too much. The Buick Estate Wagon was Top Shelf in the Wagon Line.

You could look in Hemmings.com or other Old Car Trader on-line websites and want ads. E-Bay could possibly be a good source

There is a White '64 LeSabre Estate Wagon available www.caldreamcars.net that LQQKS pretty Fine! so you can take a look at the alternate Possibilities that exist!

Most Wagons that you will find bill be Western Cars!

I hope Your not in a hurry, this will not be an Easy find and may require patience as well as considerable or extensive resturation.

I don't want to bust your balloon, It think Your Idea is Splindid

I'm just giving you a "heads -Up" on the challenges that you will encounter!

I wish You a lot of Luck in your endeavors, and hope Your stumble along and find an Estate Wagon the Suits Your Needs.

Regards,

Tom Gallagher

Estate wagon needed any yr

sorry, about that posting it so many times. i wanted to make sure someone saw it. I have never been on a forum before.

And, Tom:

thanks for the helpful info. I know it will take awhile to get a good wagon. I figured to spend about 10k-20k, including pick up. but, another, is if i get a car from the west, i dont know how well it will hold up in the chicago winters, even with a garage. So, we will see what i can come up with.

thanks,

jody

Re: 1963 Wagon

That's a REAL nice LQQKING Wagon!

It has the 3rd Seat Facing Rear

Tailgate Nice and Clean: They are very prone to rust esp at the Bottom where water collects from runoff of the Large, Flat Vertical Rear Window which when Open drops down into the tailgate

Low Milage! :hurray:

That's about as good as it gets. :bana:

Regards, :beers:

The white 63 on ebay is my buddies wagon. It is a beautiful car. Im sure you would find no dissapointments with it. I Believe he is offering money back or no obligation to buy if you look at it and arent happy. Ill have to read the add to double check. He is the most honest and straight forward person you could buy a car from. If you're interested in it and dont want to mess with buying it off of ebay email him or let me know and he'll more than likely work something out.
