95 9C1 Caprice 12" Rotor Spindles on a 67 Electra?

To any or all who would know. Can these spindles be used to convert my 67 Electra to extremely effective 12 inch rotor front disc brakes?
After checking the spindles out side by side all the geometry seems the same including the steering arm length and position. The only negative that I see is they have to be swapped right for left and left for right because the newer car steers from the front and the Electra from the rear making the caliper mount be at the front of the spindles. Does that matter as I have seen both front and rear mounting of calipers on various vehicles throughout the years.
Thanks in advance for any answers, especially you Larry. Bill

ETA: I realize the late 95 - 96 spindles with the larger lower ball joint will be problematic so this question is applied to early 95 and older spindles.

It is possible that you could be a first to try the conversion or if anyone has, they will be hard to find. If you go ahead with it, it would be good if you report what problems you run into and how you solve them!

Just call Scare Bird & buy their brackets. They will give you a list of what can be used that you can find in a salvage yard or auto parts stores. I know they use the 12" rotors from I believe a '71 Riv & it's ALL bolt on. Or a 4wd Astro Van using you original spindles. Stay away from some of the all in one conversions. I have seen many of them & they almost ALL use an adaptation from smaller cars with slightly smaller rotors, pads, calipers, wheel bearings etc. EVERYTHING is an adaptation. IF you don't know what your doing it will give you fits. Believe me I just got done doing one on a '64 Riv. & it took me 3 days full time making the nec. mods for the system to work, AND I've been doing this stuff going on sixty years. It's still yet to be seen how well it may work in an emergency situation.
