Anti Theft System Troubles 1994 Regal

I have a 1994 Regal w/ the factory Theft deterrent
system. Two years ago the small wire attached to the ignition key broke. I was stranded and had to have the car towed 45 miles.
Now, after an extended drive (several hours) it will fail to start: No crank, and no fuel, etc, yet the radio, light, horn, etc still work. It doesn't matter wether it is in Neutral or Park. The battery is excellent and I also have tried the spare key. The manual says to allow 3 minutes or so to give the theft module time to reset itself, and retry. This does not get it. However, after a wait of twenty minutes or so, it will start. Normal stop and go around town has been trouble free.
I really don't need or want the theft deterrent system. The old Regal is nor exactly theft bait!
QUESTIONS:Is there is a way to disable this
system ? If not, anyone have any ideas or suggestions for a fix?

If you take it to the dealership, they should be able to shut the anti-theft module off through the computer.
If not, they may be able to tell you how to disable it.

Good luck!

I just spoke to the local Buick dealer's shop foreman. They say maybe yes and maybe no. Some years can cannot be enabled "off".
According to the factory shop manual, my Regal has
a theft deterrent module. I think I could use the schematic and bypass or jumper the anti theft relay which appears to get past the resistor on the key. From the module, I have this question:
Does the module produce the pulse width modulated signal for the fuel circuit or does it enable another circuit for the PWM signal ?
