Hello,

Does anyone have the maximum allowable inside diameters on a 1969 LeSabre 2 Dr?

This is my first post on the TeamBuick site. I'm in search of info to see whether or not I can continue to use the brake drums currently on my car. If the front and rear drums on a 1969 LeSabre 2Dr are the same as those on a 1967 then I can use the reference found on TeamBuick.com. If not then I'll continue digging or hopefully someone here has the info.

Respectfully,

Tim

Thank you, Bob and Frankenbuick. I did find part numbers but didn’t see tolerances. I’ll take another look. Thank you to you both!

Thank you!

They max. tolerances are in the '67 manual, and are the same as the '69 manual. The '67 manual brake section is here:
https://www.teambuick.com/reference/library/67_chassis/files/50-a.php
tolerances are near the top of page 50-4.

I believe the manuals may not display on tablets and cell phones.

Thank you, Bob. I was just looking at that portion of the '67 manual this morning based on your previous reply. I can finally get this project moving forward again!

Thank you!

Tim

12.000 is NEW --- 12.090 is "Discard" --- going beyond .090 is dangerous, as the shoes will push out too far, the wheel cylinders will explode, and you'll
have a mess on your hands, if you don't hit something / someone......

I have BRAND NEW -- U.S.A. Made (N.O.S., of course) BRAKE DRUMS, N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ Brake Shoes, Wheel cylinders, brake Hardware, Brake Hoses,
and Wheel Bearings & Seals.......

Feel free to call me -- Craig -- 516- 485 - 1935 ....... Long Island, New York......
