I need some help. I am trying to find the brake light switch on my 62 Invicta. Most switches in most cars are touching the brake pedal arm and when they open the lights come on. However, the previous owner has taken the brake pedal assembly off and powdered coated it, and there is no sign of a switch. There is a pressure switch on the end of the master cylinder with a simple two wire plug on it. I tested it, and it is a ground wire and when the pressure switch closes, the ground connects and I think it trips a light on the dash. However, I could not verfiy as I put a jumper wire on it, and neither the brake lights or a dash light came on. I had the key on of course.
My question, should this car have a brake light switch on the pedal arm, or is the pressure switch at the end of the master cylinder the brake light switch. Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Randy
