DiNoc?

No he is looking for the DiNoc checkered pattern Buick used for 53. The Road Master had the reddish pattern and it also came I believe in gray, green and blue as well. 1953-buick-factory-5.jpg1953-buick-factory-6.jpg

Here are a couple of leads. Hope the phone numbers are still good. One post brings up the idea of having a print shop make the material from vinyl.

Also included for reference is a 1953 Buick Dealer Service Bulletin showing installation instructions of the original lacquer material.

yachsmanbill, Its not going to be a show car by any means, but I would like to keep it as close to stock as possible. I'm experimenting with different vinyl film options.

Just thinking you may be able to find a pattern thats close enough to fool the judges LOL. Self Adhesive vinyl stuff is pretty tough to follow any kind of contours. Just sayin'... Bill

Here's what I ended up going with. So far, I like the results and think its turning out pretty good. We'll see how it holds up. This is 3M 1080 vinyl film wrap in white pearl, covered with a layer of clear window privacy film in 3D prism pattern. Once heated its actually pretty easy to wrap around the contours. Before and after pics of passenger panel insert and glove box door.
