Sounds like you found a nice car, and paid a fair price for it. There are quite a few post cars around, they were not as popular as the coupes. But, the rareness doesn't translate to value in these cars. Same with the 72 "rare" suncoupe. The Buick Skylarks with high values are original GS and Stage 1 cars.

If your car is all original, and in good condition, that is the value in it. Not the post part.

Also, sell the car for the offer you got. Unless you want to enjoy the skylark like we all do.

Put some pictures on here so we can see what you have.

Thanx for info

Guessing 500 to 525 hp, maybe more. Always hard to tell. We have a 70 post car that weighs 3000 with driver. It's light. With the 464 engine, with mid 500 hp, it ran low 11's. Never finished dialing in the suspension, and pulled the engine to put back in the red car at 3800#. It ran 10.71 @ 126mph in that car after it was freshened up and new cam. 633 hp on the dyno.

We are going to tub the 70 car and plan is to twin turbo that car, for a 9 second street legal Buick.

And, that 850 carb is too small for a strong Buick. I run an 800 qjet on my mild 462 in the convertible, and a 950 proform on the 464. I would like to go to a dominator on the 464, but don't have the dominator flange.

As for the 850 carb,i was told this thng had bn worked over extensively but not sure i do no it came with squarde up 80 jets an was kinda rich on my 455,which is now a 464,correct? But i was runnin 50/50 gas pump/116 mix. But i rejeted wth 76/78 an it liked it better for cruisin. But did notice it lost a few ponies, but was cruisin to break n the motor. Will prob go bck to the 80's come race day. Man i love this website ,im the only buick guy that goes out to my home town track so im on my own whn it comes to trouble shootn the big beast. Lol.
