Hinge Rebuild

7DUECE

Newbie
Have a 72 skylark.

I have not replaced hinge pins in any vehicle in 20 years. I know that I will need to cut the staked pin to get it out, that is not a problem. I already have the spring tool for the bottom hinge as well. Here are my questions.

1. the drivers, upper hinge has the pin going from the bottom to the top. When I replace, can I put the pin in from the top down, or does it need to go from the bottom up again?
2. the Detent roller on the drivers side is "cocked". how does this come out? Does it drive out like the pins and a new one just gets tapped in?
3. I already have the pins and bushings. anyone know where i can get just the detent roller?
