Need help understanding codes

Hey You!

Newbie
Good day gentlemen. My VIN code starts out with 3K7….. according to the information provided by this site means:1964 Skylark assembled in Baltimore, my cowl tag identifies the assembly plant as BA(Atlanta Ga). It doesn’t seem possible to be assembled in two different locations…. can it???. My body ID is 4367, according the the information provided here it can be either a ‘vert(it is!) or a fordor two seat station wagon(not!). Please don’t beat me down as I’m a chevy guy who just got a Buick because Chevy,Pontiac and Olds are now priced out of my wallet whereas my Buick was cheap….. problem is, I’m growing to love my Skylark more than my Chevelle. Respectfully, Karl

The Skylark Sportwagon, 2 seat should have been 4355 and has been corrected.
Thanks for pointing out the discrepancy:)

Glad to hear you like your Buick more!

Thank you Bob for your response. The idea was not to point out inaccuracies, but to gain knowledge( perhaps something else in the sequence that I didn’t see would differentiate the two). The styling lines of the Buick are understated to say the least!! The shape of the rear with its “V” shape deck lid gives the illusion of speed whereas the Chevelle designers seem to arbitrarily cut off the rear design….. here! with a straight line across the back… like no thought went into it?!? I love them both and am blessed to have them both, but I love the first question I get with the Buick….”What is it??” Still hoping the brotherhood will have the answer as to why the VIN designation is Baltimore and the cowl tag is Atlanta….. both look original to the car, like they’ve been there since day one. Respectfully, Karl
