First post to say hi. I'm the proud owner of a 1950 Buick Special. While I am not historically a Buick guy (MOPAR is what I've had) my Dad did have a 1947 and later a 1954. As a kid, I loved the 47. I remember it being huge. I have been looking for an older car for quite a while and saw this car on Craigslist and the price was good and the car is in great shape for its age (I'm 64 and of course the car is about 62.) Driving it home today was a real thrill and the looks and waves and comments were more than I thought they were. I hope to glean some mechanical details to keep her running well. She runs and drives very well and looks really nice. I believe it to be an older resto, but with so much new, it saves me from having to mess with too much. Pictures attached. Happy to be here.
