newbie 66 convertible

hello all!! just acquired a 1966 buick skylark convertible. its about half restored no drive train finished yet.It came with original v6 automatic but i'm thinking of putting a v8 into it . open to any and all advice ??? thanks Paul.........
 
thank you for feedback DR Frank......any advice ...should i keep it stock and factory or hot rod it some??? i did acquire a 300 engine out of a 67 skylark.....both my original v6 and the v8 need rebuilds so i need to decide a direction. car also needs a fuse block and i cant seem to find any for 66 skylark, any suggestions? my thoughts on engine are not horsepower as much as i want it to sound good. wondering if v6 can sound like a v8 or not?
