Fellow Buick Enthusiasts

What is the trick when loosening Steel Tubing Lines with Brass Fitting and metallurgy has occurred to the point where the fitting is rusted and frozen on to the fitting, and when You attempt to loosen the fitting the Steel Tubing Line Twists and Crimps. I hate when that happens

I have been told Not to use Teflon Tape, pieces may break off and get into the lines. I was told to use a product called Liquid Teflon. I realize that this will help seal the fitting. But What Precaution can be taken to prevent the Fitting from corroding the steel line, so the fitting can be backed off without Twisting the Tubing?
I trust Those Members with Experience and Knowledge will be able to provide a Solution to this annoying Problem.

When I successfully disassemble brake line etc., I always brush on a little never sieze This pretty much solves future problems. Sealing them is not a problem.

These are the most common lines people have problems with. Another thing is a good tubing wrench. The only people that I know of that makes one that works is snap-on. Pricy, but worth it.

You probably should replace that line any way. just twist it. make sure you use a wrench on the fitting you want to remove and another on the fitting it's connected to. As far as Teflon Tape goes, just make sure there's none on the first few threads of the fitting and that should keep it out of the line. Or use thread sealer, available at most hardware or plumbing supply.
