Ready to find everything

Hello everybody,

I am new here with my 1959 Buick Electra 225 Riviera Sedan.
Back in 1988 I bought the car from the original owner in Central California.
Now 24 years later I start to restore it again and have even problems to find out whether is right or wrong of the trim and colour. The colour I am almost sure is correct as copper glow metalic, but I could not find out why it says an double "RR" at the bodyplate for the paint.
For the Trim identification I could not find anything. Neither here at the forums nor at others at the web. I did find a trim code for an 58 Buick, but that is probably totally different I guess.
I posted my body plate at my pictures, if you like to see what I mean.

Yeah so I start out to get all information to start one day the project to let the car running again.

I appreciate any information and any conversation.

Please feel free to answer here or contact me.

Thanks

The RR is R for the upper color and R for the lower color. If you go to the "Reference" Section in the menu bar above, then find "Years" and "1959", you will find a bunch of info on the ID.

Thanks Bob for your answer.

Yes, that is the information I was looking for, but now comes up the next problem.
The Trim number 861 does say that it should be black/white/cloth
But the carpet is not black, it is a kind of brown/copper/gold.
The original owner told me 24 years ago, that he never changed the carpet or seats.
The seats are cloth and have a kind of beige color, maybe that was one day white, but there is no black at all at the total inside. The dash is copper and also the vinyl at the dash is in the matching colour.
I am totally confused now.

At the "Reference" it does not say anything about the "ACC" Code, do you know what that is for?
It does say "U7" on mine, I could not find anything here either.

Thanks again for your help and I really appreciate it.
Chris

I did find out now what ACC stands for.
It is the factory installed options, but why does it say ACC?
Does it stand for Assessory Company Code?
English is not my native language so I only guess....
Anyway, I still could not find out what "U7" does stand for.
the "U" did stand 58 for power windows but that was standard at the 225.

My options that I know are:
Wonderbar Radio including remote contol at the floor and fader / left-right speakers,
electric antenna,
speed warning system,

as I know Standard was:
power windows, power seats, power steering, power brakes, colored windshield, outside rear view mirror pass.,

Maybe someone does know more about the ACC and TRIM.

Thanks again
Chris
