Hi there,
I need your help !!! Since 8 years ago I bought an Buick 2-door Coupe in British Columbia, Canada. I had a beautiful trip to Vancouver and than the car goes to my motherland Germany. At home i restore the body and a lot more. Now ʹm searching for the right identification for my buick, but nobody I talk to could say it exactly to me.
That`s why I write now here and hope anybody can help me "poor old german ". Here are some numbers from the plate near the right door : General Motors of Canada Limited, Model: 43 - 37, Serial: 2433701531, Engine: B11 3005 (straight eight),Body serial : 191, Trim: 488. I Think it`s a roadmaster ??? I hope somebody could help me !!! Thanks and bye.
Volker

... the german girls like that car, because its so biiiiiig .

Volker,
The serial number decodes as:
2= 1952 model
43= Special series (Sorry, not a Roadmaster)
37= 2 door hardtop body
01531= sequential build number assigned to this car

488= sorry, this trim code does not agree with US listings-- cannot decode

GM Canada should be able to provide an information package on your car giving the optional equipment and other data I can't provide. Their Vintage Vehicle Services Department can be reached by toll-free phone numbers (don't know if you can use these from Germany however). The charge is from $CDN 45-65.

See one of the old messages posted on this site for the mailing address. The details are given in the Buick Tech section in a message from 5-30-2001 entitled '71 Skylark rally wheels'.
