But I like when people touch my car! In fact I love to give people rides in it too. If you ever see me, ask me to take you for a spin - I love to show it off.

Unless they like touching the paint with their belt buckle, that ain't cool.

Most folks at car shows have respect for the vehicles.
The dont touch mentality really makes me angry.
Some times I enjoy listening to the solid sound of the classic door made of steel just closing and making that beautiful clunk.
Put that trailor queen in a museum.:clonk:

Classy is cool....dude!

My take on the topic is like this, every car company has, tried /built muscle cars. NOT every company has, tried/built classy cars. Buick, it seem to me has done BOTH! Buick always was a classy ride. My wife's dad said he "wouldn't be caught dead in a ford". The hearse WAS a Buick. He owned Buicks 'till he died. When Buick built muscle cars they were CLASSY first, and fast too! Ford Falcons are nice little cars, some have big engines, NONE OF THEM ARE CLASSY! They never will be. Same for Dodge Darts. And shivee has some too. Stripes, cold air induction, and torque monster engines that can "pull the wheels" at stoplites are my recollections of GS cars from the 60's. Why not have it all. I know.... wouldn't you really rather have a BUICK. I rest my case.

Great signs.......

I printed out, "american class".... The USA flag in the Buick name is really a nice touch, thanks. I like to show off my car and give people rides too, but a little extra caution never hurt.

I'd go with muscle...
I once read a 322 Nailhead has more low-end torque than a Chevy 350! :shifter:

Dont touch

With my 1961 Buick Lesabre at the last car show I was at Last Saturday, I had a 6'5 guy put his entire upper body in mt car through the window he was 3/4 into my car ! When I yelled at him he said he didn't touch it............. what a moron ......Regardless most people respect the cars but there is always the guy like this or a parent who will not teach the kids to be hands off. I had one parent actually opend my car door and had his kid getting in my car to take a picture never asking~ it almost came to a fist fight when he said dont bring your car if you don't want people to touch it:angry::angry::angry::angry:

Thankfully most would never do anything like that, They just don't realize how much time went into your car to get it to where it is today...
Your Muscle / Classic car should be like your wife you can look but you better not touch...
