1941 Buick Coupe

Hi,

I have a chance to buy a '41 Buick coupe with no engine and no transmission in it. I have two questions. First, what is a good price for what is essentially the body and frame of the car? It needs a new interior, an engine and a transmission.

My next question is what type of engine will fit? And what type of transmission would fit, as well. I have never rebuilt an entire car, but I have wanted to try, and I can afford this shell. I also have a 350 chevy engine, which, if it doesn't fit I can trade for a Ford Windsor with a friend. I would love to throw a 455 in it if it can fit. The car has some rust, but the frame is sound. I have only seen pictures of the car, but I am going to see it on the weekend.

Thanks for any help you can give. I have added a pic to this post

That could be a nice hot rod project. It has a desirable styling.

There are no bolt in engines except the original. Any engine can be fitted and will require a compatible transmission and drive line to be fitted.

Hope you enjoy your project!
