1965 ST300 transmission with V-6

Has anyone installed a B&M 20297 kickdown switch?
Would you share your experience?
I was considering two wires from the switch to both solenoid connectors to get the same action that the original transmission control switch would have delivered (both the downshift and high stall at 2/3 throttle).

Controlling a switch pitch
