1966 Skylark GS 401 Dual Quad carb question

Hello,

Per the title I have a 1966 Skylark GS 401 Dual Quad carb that we're restoring.
To use the original dual quad aircleaner I have to use original carter carbs as the top flange is smaller than Edelbrock carbs.

I've found listings for single carburetors for the car on the website:

But there is no listing for the dual quad option.
Does anyone know the correct carbs or know where I can find the information?

Thanks.

I would definitely try to find a set of original dual carbs, as they have several differences for running the progressive linkage and keeping the fuel moving out of the unused carburetor below 1/2 throttle. I am running a set of 64/65 carbs (3634S, 3645S) on a '66 Riviera 425. When I was looking some years ago, I just couldn't find a set of '66 carbs. I also built the mount for the kick down. The '66 mount is different, and while I did find a repo, it was something like $200.00, so I used an earlier bracket and did something that looks appropriate to anyone who doesn't know.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, I had seen that table, but it unfortuately doesn't give specific information for the 66 401. It has a dual quad entry for 64-65 425 that suggests a 3645S and 3925S, and I suspect that would work fine.

If only the entry I gave above for the 1966 had a dual quad entry for the 401 I'd have peace of mind ;)

I do have a pair of 3645S carbs, a 4056S and 3925S carbs, but want to make this as correct as possible. I have the original linkage, but have to fab up a couple of pieces that need to be repaired.

I think the 2X4 on the Skylark GS may have been only a dealer installed option. Aside from not finding the carb descriptions you are looking for, if you look HERE you won't find it mentioned as a 401 option either.
