I recently purchased a 1986 Le Sabre 2 door.
It has a funny knock, so I decided to use a code reader to narrow down the problem(s).
When I plug the reader in and turn the ign. on the "Service Engine Soon" light comes on but does not blink. I know that the first code should be 12 for system pass. I have a manual from Haynes, but it assumes your vehicle will test, and goes no further.
Could my ECM be baked and no longer communicating with the vehicle ?
Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
