To any or all who would know. Can these spindles be used to convert my 67 Electra to extremely effective 12 inch rotor front disc brakes?
After checking the spindles out side by side all the geometry seems the same including the steering arm length and position. The only negative that I see is they have to be swapped right for left and left for right because the newer car steers from the front and the Electra from the rear making the caliper mount be at the front of the spindles. Does that matter as I have seen both front and rear mounting of calipers on various vehicles throughout the years.
Thanks in advance for any answers, especially you Larry. Bill
ETA: I realize the late 95 - 96 spindles with the larger lower ball joint will be problematic so this question is applied to early 95 and older spindles.
