Decoding '49 Buick

Can anyone help decode this serial? The plate is on the frame inside the drivers side pillar. It reads 15I89488. Attached is a pic of it and the plate in the engine bay, would LOVE to learn more about my "new" baby Dynah... :)

15189488 = frame serial number
1 = final asembly at Flint Mi
5189488 = sequential number, range for Flint in 1949 was 5020984 to 5348304

Buick often used a 1 that look like an I, a 6 that looked like a b, and a 9 that looked like an upside down b in their serial numbers.
