Thank fellas, I am going to try the rag joint. Now that someone agrees are you willing to listen for your benefit???
I'll try to send them some other way. Here are the rag joint pictures.
Send us a pic of the rag joint & we can usually tell IF it's bad by looking. I have the PROPER Rag Joints in stock.
Just left from talking to the mechanic he showed me where the centerlink on the pitman's arm had a lot play in it. Is there anyway to replace that grommet in the centerlink?Send us a pic of the rag joint & we can usually tell IF it's bad by looking. I have the PROPER Rag Joints in stock.
I have all ready had the front suspension kit installed 10 years ago but I don't think they greased the upper and lower ball joints. Just had those replaced yesterday and also the idler arm but the center link no and how much for a rag joint complete not the kit?Terry,
YES it needs a rag joint pretty badly. The center link has to be sent out to get rebuilt. I here that Auto Zone/Advanced Auto can get one that's rebuilt already. Of course you have to either give it to them now or when you pick it up. Check it out. I know that at one time Rare Parts was rebuilding them, & still do, BUT back then it was around the $600.00 range. I'm pretty sure the pricing has come down since then.
How about the strut rod/brake reaction rod bushings???
How about the rear track bar/panhard rod bushings in the rear. You wouldn't think they would cause an unstable car, BUT believe me they do.
I have ALL this stuff in Poly if you need it.

Oil change, filter yes, greased suspension no. I don't drive it like that. I basically just start it up and let it run for a while.I don't believe the rag joints come as complete units, BUT you could do a goggle search to find out. In 10 years you haven't had the oil, filter changed or a grease job???
Do you think that you could find out the size and the spline of the rag joint?Oil change, filter yes, greased suspension no. I don't drive it like that. I basically just start it up and let it run for a while.
