Holley 390 CFM power valve for my 252 w/ 206 roller cam?

Any suggestions as to which power valve I should use for this n/a 252 with the Comp cams 206 roller cam? It seems to be running ok, the engine will eventually die as I lean out my idle screws, so I think I have most of the jets sized correctly.....but the plugs are black as hell, which makes me...

Hello all, I have a 252 N/A engine getting rebuilt. I just got back my boxes of parts to re-assemble my engine. I noticed that three of the rods have the double bump/dimple opposite side of the piston direction notch. The machine-shop foreman just told me that the rod bearing surface notches...

    undersize v6 crankshaft

How far undersize can a 4.1 or turbo crank be ground/polished? I've got a crank that is .020 under for both mains and rods. Can it be safely ground .030 or should I find a new crank? Its going into a relatively stock carburetor fed 4.1.

3.8 crank in a ordinary 4.1 ? any real reason why NOT?

My first question is: I'm building a N/A 252- the original 252 crank is already .020 under and now has slight grooves in the mains. So I'm afraid to have it ground any more. I have a fresh .010 under 231 crank. I know the filleted crank of the 252 is stronger, but is it necessary in a stock...

Chevy 327 or 350 pistons in the Buick 252??

I've been reading again.... my fault. Has anybody done this? The cost of custom 252 pistons has me thinking the Chevy pistons and different rods would be cheaper. Or is this whole thing not worth the effort and basically just a waste of time?

Will 231 heads fit on a 252 block??

Its time to build my next engine, but I cannot decide what to do with my garage full-o-parts! I'm contemplating a 252 build instead of the usual 231. I have a complete set of '83 231 heads, and I'm trying to figure what to put them on! Will they physically fit the 252 block (I'm guessing so)...

Compatible Rear ends for 73-77 Abody?

I am looking for a new rear gear for my 75 century, but I've figured it will probably be easier to swap out the entire rear end rather than pay labor and risk having the gears swapped out improperly. So what other rear ends fit the 73-77 A body? Or am I limited to those years? thanx...

    supercharger info

In responding to another thread, I figure I should just post this stuff to everybody (just in case somebody gets any ideas to help cure that go-fast bug) Centrifugal superchargers. They are low-profile and can still deliver a decent bang for your buck. They can be adapted to any engine...
