When rebuilding the engine lost the drain plug. Now I can't seem to find one. I bought one from the NAPA store which is a 11/16" however it is too big. I am sure I cannot force it in. Turns a couple of threads and quits. Is this an odd ball size?? Seems between a 11/16" and 5/8".
Does anyone have one to spare?

BE CAREFUL!!!

On my '63 Riv (my very first real car),some mechics toqued the hell on the oil drain plug. I went up to the next Oversized one,and the next, and the next.....

Finally I had to buy a new oil pan.

And like oil filter, hand tighten them--or with the bolt---gently and barely tightened it.

besidesahve in the pan pulledbazed shut and another hole tapped and threaded --or a new pan-I don't know what to do?
