FYI: I sent my self-made headers to an exhaust shop to be ceramic coated. However they said it's easier to build new headers than strip the old chrome plating. Instead of reverse-engineering it all, I supplied measurements for the flanges.
I'm telling you this because it will be possible for anyone to order a set of headers once they have finished this set. The flanges are 10mm (3/8") thick and laser-cut. Primaries are available in 1-1/2" or 1-5/8" diameter, 2.5" collectors. Mild steel or 409 stainless. They will fit at least 1936-47 Buicks, but not sure about the fit in 1948-52 models with revised motor mounts. They will look a lot like like these: http://www.roadmachine.fi/Buick/march2003.html,
but the collectors will have standard 3-bolt flanges.
