I have a 1971 buick skylark 350 with the 350 3 speed trans and a 2.56 rear. How much hp/ torque will the transmission be able to handle without it breaking in half. Not really. Would a shift kit make the trans stronger. The tires right now almost cherp from 1st to second will they if i put in a good hard shiffting shift kit?
