401 Nailhead I.D.

I prchased a 401 nailhead but am having difficulty identifying the
year. The serial No. on the block is "1349048 8A . This would indicate
its a 1962-1966 nailhead. It has a 4 barell carb. On the front of the
block is "b 1101b 227 if this is any help. I think this engine is 325 H.P.

Casting numbers don't tell you much except for the basic "casting" that was used before the machining process. This link is part of this website. Look at it along with all of the other supporting links on the site; there's a ton of info out there.
