Can anyone tell me the diameter of the crankshaft where the rear main seal runs, is it 2 +19/32".My crank seal area has a slight nick in it so hoping to get it machined a bit but wondering if a rubber seal would still work or better to go with the rope seal.What would be the minimum shaft dia after machining to still be able use a rubber seal.

I just measured a crank and got 2.5. The 264/322 is about .060 smaller. Hard to say how much you can remove off the crank, rope seal maybe more forgiving with nicks and pits. My website has free tech info on crank seal replacement, we do things a little different that what is in the manual.
