Dripping Dynaflow Seal-up

Need to replace the external seals in a Dynaflow in a friends '54 Century (322 cui).
He's having trouble removing the driveshaft, please help with any hints to remove the shaft and trans, since we are newcomers to Dynaflows).

The best thing to do is find a 54 service manual. The job is quite involved. you must disconnect the rear shocks,the e-brake cables,the rear rubber brake line, the sway bar and then you can remove the bolts holding the torque tube to the trans. The rear end must then be pulled back far enough to disengage the drive shaft from the U-joint. you must then unbolt the convertor from the flywheel. after all this,you can pull the trans and reseal it. Then comes the FUN part!! You get to put it all back in
