When you say your hood springs are worn out, does that mean when you take them off, they do not close completely to a coil bind?
I am sure any hood springs off a similar car or at least the '66 and '67 models (Chevelle, GTO, F85, etc.) would be the same.
There are shops that build springs in many cities. Having two new springs built probably wouldn't be too pricey. I had a set of 5 power steering box spring build 35 years ago, and thought it was very reasonable at the time. I was able to walk through the shop, it was amazing. A bunch of old lathes with coils of spring wire. The operator simply set the "threading" rate to the coil he wanted, used a torch to bring it to temperature and wound the spring. Those springs were heavy suspension springs. The ones made for me were maybe 1/2" round and an 1" long. Since then, I have a selection of small spring wire and have wound a few myself with good success. This does not mean I know anything, but if my hood springs were stretched, I would not be afraid to squeeze them in a vise and warm them up until the relaxed back to their compressed state and reuse them.
