Now here's something you don't see every day. An NOS fitted block for one of the smaller straight 8's. Price isn't all that bad either. [The ID pad is forward of the distributer so it is one of the smaller sizes]:jeez:

No provision for side mounts, so definitely 47 or earlier and probably a 248.

.....and It must be later than '38, I have a 248 engine from this Year and
have the Dipstick down in the Block in the near of the Oilpanscrewrail..
