Hey folks!
Just thought I'd introduce myself here as I'm pretty sure I'll be asking a lot of stupid questions.
I just picked up a 1955 Buick Special 4dr up here in the North and lemme tell ya, this beast is in incredible condition for 57 years old! I've seen cars less than 10 years old with more rust on 'em than this animal!
I'm the 3rd owner, she's got only 63000 original clicks on her (kilometers) and she's all original. Got her for a steal, too! A deal I couldn't pass up!
I bring her home in 2 weeks from today, and I'm about to do a comlete brake overhaul (drums, shoes, cyls, lines etc) and the rear shocks.
I've worked on cars before, but never anything this old.
I'll cruise her around town AS-IS for the rest of the summer, then she's off to the body shop for prep and paint. (two-tone- deep burnt metalic orange, and pearl white)
Looking forward to meeting other Buick owners here.
