i have a 75 lesabre convertible with the buick riveria style wheels, and my question is on the inside of the wheels is a stamped code with jj6 or jj7, the rims look the same, what is the differance? or is this a manufacturing code for differant suppliers? also when did the wheels change, i think around 1970, when the new center caps were being used? thanks, jwc191

buick rims

finally bought the 4th riveria rim, all are nice. the one rim i was concerned with had jj7 stamped on the back was the same as the others with jj6 stamped on them, new tires and rims, the 75 lesabre conv looks tough.

Re: Buick Wheels

I don't know for sure but I would venture to say the letter indicate the year produced.

All GM VIN numbers contain a Letter with indicates the year the car was built.

Hey I'm taking a Shot on this one, but it seems to make sense especially when consecutive Letters have consecutive numbers after them.

New Tires and wheels really can dress up a car!

This is certainly the time of year to take advantage of a "Drop Top"

Have Fun!
