I have a 1967 Buick Riviera. The engine is a 1974 455 with a turbo 400 behind it. There is a little switch mounted on the part of the throttle arm that comes out of the firewall. The switch never actuates no matter how you move the throttle arm. There is a wire harness that comes out of the mystery switch and plugs into the kickdown switch. I thought the switch may have(at one time) been part of some sort of idle compensator for when the AC was on. Can anyone tell me what this switch was or is supposed to do?
