anywone knows if the defrosterelement is the same in 1953 and 1954?
My defrostelement is leeking Water,reabuild or another from a donercar.

Hello from a Buickfriend.I trye to fix my defrosterelement in winter when the lady is
in garage/sleeping.But i wonder if its the same from 53,i have a friend skraping parts
from a 53.Spareparts for me?maybe.Also coler for Dynaflow is in my intressed maybe
it is the same?

Stubbe: This information came from a Buick Master Chassis Parts Book

Defroster Core Part # 3123864 Fits 50-53
# 3131115 Fits 54-55

Oil Cooler Part # 1390697 Fits 1948-1952 DF and 1953 series 40 DF
# 1391689 Fits series 50 & 70 DF
# 8522220 Fits 1954 DF
# 8523158 Fits 1955 DF

Does not look like any 53 parts are interchangeable with 54 parts. The Buick defroster cores are not interchangeable with any other GM cars according to the parts book.

Tanks for give me the info of defrostelement 1953 verses 1954.That dont fit.
Now i trye to fix my element for next year so i dont get ice on windshield
next Winter,only a joke i only drive my car in summer,but i vill try to fix
all parts.So in next year is only the windcheals outer of sidoruta same of 53
cadillac 53 eldorado.Then my 56 of 54 is complete,
