I'VE HAD A 63 RIVIERA FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 YEARS, YET I HAVE A QUESTION. IS THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION A 2 SPEED AUTOMATIC? MY CAR ONLY SHIFTS ONE TIME FROM LOW TO HIGH. IS THIS NORMAL. THANKS FOR THE HELP.
Yes, it is normal. A 2 speed Dynaflow was used in 63. 64 was the year they went to a ST 400 that had three forward speeds.

thanks dr. frankenbuick for your information. after reading some literature on it, i thought that may be what it was. it shifts real good, but always woundered if it was normal or not. now i know. thanks again.
