valve seals for 425 nailhead

I posted this question in another thread, but I think it is being missed..... so here goes. I ordered retrofit valve seals for my 425. It seems to be opinion that 425's never had valve seals but I found info suggesting this was a factory authorized retro to address oil consumption problems. I have not found any directions for installation. Are these to go under the spring cap? That is the only way I see. Do they also go on both exhaust AND intake valves?

Buick put seals on the intakes valves in the 66 Nailheads. That was the first year for factory valve seals in the Nailhead, and last year for the Nailhead. The seals go over the valve guides inside the springs (under the retainer). Most rebuilders put seals on the intake and exhaust valves. Make sure you have enough clearance for the seals at max cam lift. The guides will need to be shortend if ther is less then .050" clearance between the retainer and seal at max lift.
