Should be a 49 buick 8, is that correct and can anyone tell me anything else from this vin?

1949 Frame or Serial numbers of Buicks built at Flint started
at 15020984.
Yours falls right in line at 15191036.

I'm new here but I found a wealth of info from the ID plate on my 53. I have a 49 as well and only have the vin for it. I know it was a roadmaster convertible, but thats all.

Ran into the same numbering on the 1950 Super I am working on. The 1 in the serial number is a well defined "I" on the door jamb plate and the number stamped on the frame. The number plate on the firewall had well defined I's and 1's .....
