Thanks for your advice! turns out that the simple solution shouldn't have been overlooked! after a few minutes of "what are we overlooking" we found the gas gauge doesn't work and it was simply a matter of out of gas.....atleast now we know, and the fix was about as cheap as you get! Thanks...
