Engine Mounts

Could I get your opinions on the best engine mounts for a 1961 Buick LeSabre 364. What parts do you trust for replacements? Or do you know of a good place that would revulcanize them? Thoughts and experience on this is appreciated. Thanks

I don't know, but they may all come from the same source. I have let price guide my purchases. This is easy to criticize! I have not had a problem with any of them. I have put down a lot of rubber using G60/15 tires, posi. If you are going to play with the car, in those days people with traction would "tie" down the torque side of the engine. That would still be a good idea no matter if you find a mount that is a higher quality than another.
If you find a reliable source that is actually better than another, post it:)

Today they are all China junk.

I use four links of chain with a 1/4" slack in between.

I used to break a mount once every 2-3 months, especially when using slicks.

Paint it black & you can't even really see it.

Much better looking than the fix from Buick.

Haven't broken a mount in over 50+ years now.

Some of the aftermarket mounts of polyurethane are stiffer, more vibration will transfer into the cab. The urethane can be attained with 70-90 durometer and it will be similar to the hardness of a tire. The revulcanizing ones, I have for my vehicle, they haven't cracked, like original. I have noticed seperating from the metal brackets, but my mounts are over 10 years old, got them from one of these vintage car parts sellers for buicks. You can get products "NOT made in china". Just takes more time shopping that's all.
