I just came into possession of a 1950 Buick that I have volunteered to make into a daily driver. It leaks from every hole seemingly but it was driven to my house for delivery. I took it for a spin and it drove nice but the resulting puddles were large. My current plan is to pull off the front end (about halfway done) and then remove the engine and transmission (Dynaflow). I've never worked on a car of this vintage but have a fair amount of experience with engine work. Seems fairly straight forward but I would appreciate any tips on engine removal and dissassembly.

Dawger, I'm in the same boat you are. Your post is pretty old and I see no one replied. Did you manage to get the engine removed? If so how did it go? I need to remove mine as well. Thanks.
