First things first . WELCOME, Nico. We qre glad to have you.

The engine number should have one more digit, probably before the 3. It does appear to be a 320 CI engine. I believe it is a 1937. 1937 numbers began with 3,176,225 for the big [320] series. Perhaps clean the number pad and take a picture of the numbers. The one circled in red. The number should be under the water pump as well, with only the seven digits, as you have here.

Hello

thank you for the information
I ask the seller for the exact numbers
because at the moment he is not mine

Seller asks $422
But there is no market for it in Belgium

it's not very expensive but very cracked
I wonder if it is possible to restore it
then the difficulty in finding parts

and moreover if I have done my homework well it must have babitt bearings

Nico

Nico, I don't want to be what we Yanks call a wet blanket, but that block is not worth saving, in my opinion. And ,yes, Babbitt bearings.

Hello

Yes it's clear saving it is not a good idea

It would be very expensive

I'm going to drop this project I think

it's really a shame because it's really a very beautiful engine

for the serial numbers in case the guy sends me the correct number
32024 90 D

I don't know what it is about

Well I'm going to console myself with the restoration of a continental Z120 engine

i love american car culture

Regards

Nico
