I'm looking for the hood badge that goes onto my hood, can you identify it?

Here is one for a '65 on ebay, CLICK HERE!

Here is a picture of one:

I suspect your hood is correct, and someone has modified it to take another ornament. Many owners did not like the ornament, especially GS owners and removed it. I believe that is the story behind the one on ebay.

Ah, it could be! The original ornament is usually much more expensive, the one on your link is a good deal but I'm afraid I can't change the hood at this point. Do you think the 72 might be the correct fit? Thank you!
 
The studs on the '72 are spaced at about 1", so if your holes are that you are pretty safe.

Looking at the pictures the ring would hang outside the flat area. So, no I don't think it will fit. Your holes look space wider than 1".
 
I'll measure things and see if it will fit. I hope so. I found an old photo of my car from a previous owner where it had the badge and it looks like it. Thank you!
 
If the stud locations are wrong, you might be able to remove the studs and glue it on.
