1972 Buick Riviera, purchased in 2011 while waiting to rotate out of my 2nd tour in Afghanistan and delivered, upon my return to Canada, to The Guild of Automotive Restorers for a frame off rebuild. A year, and many many buckets of cash later, I took delivery. The interior is completely stock and original save for having the seats recovered. The only customizing to the exterior was to remove the side molding, split the front bumper and paint the bumpers & brightwork body-colour. The paint is trick with candy-apple green pearl & flake over Cadillac black. The car appears completely black till the sun hits it then it's green. Other than a cleaning, gaskets & custom paint, the engine & entire driveline are completely stock (455) and numbers matching to the car. The build was completed by June 2012. While standing in line at Service Ontario waiting to buy my custom license plates, and struggling with what to put on them, a couple in front of me turned and saw the car parked outside. The gentleman turned to his wife and said "Wow, that's one bad Buick". Ta da.
